In October, called the golden autumn, it's time that we get together with our family and friends in China. However, Cambodia is in the rainy season of continuous rainstorms.
The 230kV transmission line project is an urgent construction project signed in June 2023, with the condition of time shortage and heavy tasks. The total length of the line is 233 kilometers. Right after the project signing, the project department did the work breakdowns and set milestones for each sub-project based on the implementation projections, and shortened each work’s duration. To ensure the construction work begins as scheduled in the upcoming dry season, it was necessary to complete surveying, geological exploration, design, and other work in the rainy season. All members of the project team gave up their holidays and took multiple measures to complete the complex preparation work before construction.
At the construction site, the project team and each participating parties to carry bags and equipment on their shoulders, cut through thorns, walked through the humid and dense jungle, and went to one tower after another to carry out geological survey and pile delivery work. The road on site was muddy and hard to pass. Everyone walked through it with the words of “cut paths through the mountains and build bridges across the rivers”. Sometimes the scorching sun burned and the temperature in the dense forest run over 40 ℃, making people sweat profusely; while sometimes dark clouds and torrential rain poured down, the road ahead was blocked by stagnant water, and even the road and bridge were flooded, and everyone had to climb mountains and wade through rivers or turn back to choose a new approach route.
At the project office, the sound of keyboards, printing, and discussion echoed one after another. The engineers carefully reviewed each construction drawing and document, made modifications, and then submitted them to the owner without delays. They also tracked the progress of the owner's approval, and if necessary, went to the owner's office to discuss and explain. Furthermore, they sometimes urged the owner to accelerate the review- process, in order to obtain the approved drawings as soon as possible.

All members of the CMIC team will forge ahead, overcome difficulties, seize the "golden period" of construction, accelerate project works, and ensure that the project is completed on time. We will move forward with the spirit of not compromising, not giving up, and not admitting defeat.
