On November 18, 2023, the commencement ceremony of the 230KV RATTANAKIRI-TBONG KHMUM TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT (230kV Power Transmission Project), was held at the site of the project in Kratie Province, Cambodia. The representatives from EDC, SNTW, and the project department of CMIC attended the ceremony. This event marked the official entry of the project into construction phase.

At the ceremony, the director of EDC stated that the 230KV Transmission Project was the second project cooperation among EDC, SNTW and CMIC after the GRID SUBSTATIONS AND TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT IN SIHANOUK VILLE (Sihanoukville Project). Despite the global outbreak of COVID-19, CMIC completed the Sihanoukville Project on schedule and with high quality, demonstrating strong contracting ability and team management ability as well. He believed that through perfect cooperation among the three parties, CMIC would be able to deliver the 230KV Transmission Project with high standards as scheduled again.

According to the site in charge from CMIC, the 230KV Transmission Project has profound significance for the company’s strategic layout in Cambodian market. All personnel of the company will strive to complete the project on time with high standards and quality, providing safe and stable energy support for the economic and social development of Cambodia.
