On January 7, 2022, CMIC held the 2021 Annual Conference for the summary and commendation of work performance of the year. As the Party Secretary and Chairman of CMIC, Wang Weiguo delivered a speech at the meeting virtually. The speech is titled ‘Stick to the original aspiration, commit to the mission, and strive to achieve a high-quality development’. Mr.Zhang Qingdong, as the Deputy Secretary and General Manager of the company, presented a report titled “Seize new opportunities, welcome new challenges and build a new situation for the company's development". The meeting was presided over by Mr. Li Guangyin, the Deputy General Manager of CMIC.

Chairman Wang stated that the main tasks of this meeting were to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of ‘the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of CPC and the Central Economic Work Conference’, conscientiously implement the spirit of ‘the 2022 Work Conference of SINOMACH and SINOMACH-HE’, and summarize the work of 2021, analyze the current situation, deploy the key tasks for 2022, mobilize everyone in the company, stick to the original aspiration, commit to the mission, perform the duties, forge ahead, strive to achieve high-quality development for company, and greet the 20th Central Committee of CPC with excellent performance.

At the meeting, Wang reviewed and affirmed the company's achievements in operation management and party-building work in 2021, analyzed the new situation faced by the company, and deployed and mobilized the key tasks for 2022.

Wang pointed out that in the past 2021, the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic had been felt throughout the year, huge changes unprecedentedly had accelerated, and the external environment had become more complex, severe, and full of uncertainties. Under the strong leadership of CPC committee of SINOMACH-HE and China Erzhong, CMIC accurately tackled the situation, resolutely implemented various arrangements, carried out in-depth study, coordinated and promoted various operation and management tasks, and continued to prevent the epidemic, eventually maintained a stable development.

Wang put forward the overall requirements for the work in 2022. In 2022, following the guidance of ‘Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era’, we shall fully implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of CPC and its every session as well as the Central Economic Work Conference, resolutely execute the decisions and arrangements of higher authorities, and give full play to the leadership of Party building and Party support. CMIC shall uphold the high-quality development as the main operation line, be market-oriented, seize development opportunities, prudently respond to challenges, insist on making progress while maintaining stability, coordinate and promote business development, functional management and Party building work, and comprehensively complete all aspects of the tasks, to ensure the company's annual goals are achieved and to welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of CPC with outstanding results.

In his report, General Manager Zhang Qingdong reiterated some key points in the operation and management in 2022: the company will adhere to the guidance of ‘Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era’, fully implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC committee of SINOMACH-HE and China Erzhong, overcome difficulties, forge ahead, promote the company reform and business mode upgrading, improve the management level, achieve a good start in the national ‘14th Five-Year Plan’, to ensure the achievement of various annual work goals, and welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of CPC with outstanding results.

The meeting at the end commended the outstanding performance teams and employees of 2022.

Beside of limiting the number of participants, this meeting strictly conducted the epidemic prevention and control requirements published by Beijing Municipality and the higher authorities. Personnel outside Beijing, subsidiaries (holding) companies, and overseas project site offices participate in the meeting via virtual connections in accordance with the rules and requirements.
