On June 15, the section B (GS Chong Phlash (CHP) to GS Phnom Prich (PPR)) of CMIC's EPCC of the Development of 230 kV Rattanakiri - Tbong Khmum Transmission Line Project in Cambodia successfully completed the commissioning, marking that this section is ready for energization.
The project was signed and effective in June 2023, with a total length of 223km, traversing 4 northeastern provinces of Cambodia, connecting five substations. The project has a 24month project completion time, with the project employer required the completion of the 45km section B by the end of June 2024 to supply power due to urgent needs. Construction began on November 18, 2023, with the project team ensured quality, safety, and timely completion in 7 months. The section has completed commissioning with the project employer highly recognizes the project's quality.
The successful completion this commissioning marks a preliminary victory for the 230 kV transmission line project. It also proves that CMIC's comprehensive localized construction management has been effective. The project team will continue to promote localized development in the Cambodian market, boosting efforts and measures for the project's full completion, and contributing to the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
