CONTRACT OF FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE PROJECT OF 1,200MW LNG POWER PLANT IN CAMBODIA OFFICIALLY BE EFFECTIVE

Recently, CMIC received the first payment from the Cambodia International Investment and Development Group (CIIDG) for the feasibility study for the 1,200MW LNG power plant project in Cambodia, marking the contract officially entered into effect.

The contract was signed in January 2022. According to the contract, CIIDG entrusts CMIC to conduct a feasibility study on the 1,200MW LNG power plant project in Cambodia (to be completed within 6 months) and assist the project owner in negotiating the power purchase agreement. This project is listed in the national power development plan as an important one by the Cambodian government. Becoming effective of the feasibility study contract means that this clean-energy power plant project has taken a substantial step. The successful signing of this contract also marks the company had opened a new chapter in the Cambodian power market with a new cooperation model. In the future, CMIC will cooperate with brother companies in SINOMACH-HE to actively participate in this project and lay a solid foundation for further business expansion of SINOMACH-HE in the Cambodian market.

At present, the preparation work is being carried out in an intense and orderly manner. CMIC will concentrate its superior resources to ensure that all work of this project proceeds smoothly!
